Minor parties are known to be the underdogs in the political arena. Often overlooked and underestimated, these political groups have been called many names; such as third parties, independent parties, alternative parties, or minor political parties. Regardless of the term used, these small political organizations aim to disrupt the current political landscape and provide an alternative option for voters who do not feel represented by the major parties. The emergence of minor political parties can often be attributed to dissatisfaction with the established two-party system, which has resulted in a two-party duopoly in many countries.
